Earlier this week, an IndiGo flight between Singapore and Bengaluru had to u-turn back to the airport amid reports that baggage from a previous flight hadn’t been offloaded.

IndiGo flight 6E1006 is a routine flight between Singapore and Bengaluru, and the aircraft involved in this incident was VT-IMC.
As per data from Planespotters.net, VT-IMC is a 1.9 year old Airbus A321neo, which was delivered to the airline back in December 2021.
Of that particular aircraft type, the Indian low-cost carrier at the time of writing has a total of 94 units, consisting of 81 in active service and 13 parked, with an average age of 2.1 years.
IndiGo flight 6E1006 departed Singapore at 0535 local time on October 18, and not long after departure, proceeded to turn back to the airport and not continue on to Bengaluru.

Following its descent and a singular hold, the aircraft landed back into the airport at 0701 local time and taxied to stand.

As per @ArenaJet on X, it is understood the cause of this return to Singapore was due to the fact that the airline forgot to fully offload luggage of the passengers who were traveling on the previous leg from Bengaluru.

Following that incident, IndiGo flight 6E1006 departed Singapore at 0943 local time that same day, over four hours late.
It then continued on to the Indian airport, where it landed at 1142 local time, around three hours and 20 minutes behind schedule.
