A Ryanair flight inbound from Barcelona to Manchester has diverted to London Stansted Airport earlier today.

Ryanair flight FR7545, a Boeing 737-800 operating from Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) to Manchester (MAN) made an unscheduled diversion into London Stansted Airport (STN) this morning.
The flight had departed Barcelona at 12:19 local time, and proceeded normally on the northerly service to the United Kingdom; climbing to cruising altitude FL360 (36,000 feet) for today’s service.
Flight FR7545 was approaching the British midlands near Birmingham at approximately 12:55 GMT, when it initiated the diversion and returned south to Stansted Airport.

Forecast weather for the flight’s intended arrival into Manchester (MAN) was Marginal VFR conditions with a sixty minute holding period with reducing vicinity in rain showers. The flight subsequently landed at the London Airport at 13:24 GMT.

The aircraft conducting today’s scheduled flight was Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DYZ; a 14-year old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the low-cost carrier Ryanair.
Today’s FR7545 rotation proceeded normally to London Stansted Airport and was not the subject of an emergency declaration.
Weather at the destination airport with an operational requirement of sixty minutes holding may have been a deciding factor, however this has not been confirmed.
