LONDON – Earlier today saw a French Air Force Dassault Falcon 900 declare an emergency minutes after departure from Villacoublay/Velizy.

CTM1276 departed Villacoublay/Velizy at 0842 local time, with the aircraft declaring an emergency at around 10,200 feet.

From there, the aircraft headed back to Villacoublay/Velizy and arrived safely back at the airport at 0916 local time, around 30 minutes after departure.

At this time, it is unclear what the nature of the emergency was, but it must have been serious enough to cause a return to the airport.

F-RAFP was the Dassault Falcon 900 in question that operated this flight.

The jet has been with the French Air Force since November 1987, with the aircraft offering an age of 38 years from its inception by Dassault in September 1985.
