UPDATE #1 @ 0837 UK time – easyJet flight U22103 to Nice is currently in holds at 7,400 feet to the south of Manchester.
UPDATE #2 @ 0838 UK time – Understood that the aircraft has an issue with its landing gear, which the pilots have appeared to have sorted and are going to attempt an approach on Runway 05R.
UPDATE #3 @ 0839 UK time – G-EZOK is a 8.6 year old Airbus A320-200 that was delivered to the airline back in April 2015, as per Planespotters.


UPDATE #4 @ 0840 UK time – U22103 has come out of its holds and is getting ready for a Runway 05R approach into Manchester Airport.

UPDATE #5 @ 0843 UK time – U22103 is on the final approach for Runway 05R. Unclear whether the aircraft will remain on the runway or not after this landing.

UPDATE #6 @ 0849 UK time – TOUCHDOWN! easyJet flight U22103, originally bound for Nice, has appeared to have touched down safely into Manchester following reports of a landing gear issue not long after departure.
UPDATE #7 @ 0852 UK time – U22103 remains on the edge of Runway 23L/05R whilst fire crews conduct their checks on the aircraft.
UPDATE #8 @ 0855 UK time – Runway vacated and the aircraft is now going to taxi to either a remote stand or a public gate, bringing an end to the coverage.
