Spirit Airlines is performing very well post-pandemic, with the airline offering a significant chance of getting up to 1,000 weekly movements.
Using data from RadarBox.com, the airline isn’t as far away as you would think from hitting 1,000 weekly movements, based on a seven-day rolling average provided by the flight tracking company.

A Strong Start to 2023…
For March 26-April 2, Spirit Airlines operated 844 movements, based on a seven-day rolling average provided by the flight tracking company.
This represents an increase of 29.85% compared to the same period last year and is 222 movements ahead of pre-COVID levels (2019).

The data here shows that in every week of this year so far, Spirit Airlines has achieved double-digit growth in movement statistics compared to last year.
We can also see an upward trajectory in movement numbers, especially as we begin the Summer 2023 season as well.
At this stage, it is unclear what the figure will be when the airline hits the peak point, but this could easily get to less than 100 movements from 1,000 weekly.
Spirit Airlines Stays The Course for Growth: JetBlue Merger…
Two of the largest competitors in the United States air travel industry are carrying on defiantly in their pursuit of a merger.
JetBlue and Spirit Airlines have been in talks of a merger since JetBlue came out on the right side of a bidding war against Frontier Airlines in July 2022.
Which, it argues, could lead to higher prices and fewer options for customers.
Spirit CEO Ted Christie aired his views on the lawsuit by saying: “We disagree with the DOJ’s decision to seek to block the proposed merger, which will benefit consumers and employees.”
“We will vigorously defend our position that a combined JetBlue and Spirit Airlines will be a game changer for customers nationwide, creating the most compelling national low-fare challenger to the dominant U.S. carriers.”
“Together, we intend to democratize flying for travelers across the country – a goal we believe is worthy of the government’s support.”
If Spirit Airlines can get this over the line, then the possibilities for growth will be endless under the JetBlue arsenal.
