Vinod Kannan, the CEO of Vistara commented on the inaugural service between Delhi and Hong Kong:
“The launch of direct connectivity to Hong Kong is in line with our strategy of steadily growing our international network.”
“Hong Kong being amongst the world’s top commercial hubs, attracts a lot of business, MICE and VFR travel from India, besides being a popular leisure destination.”
“We are delighted to offer the option of flying India’s finest airline to customers travelling on this route and we are confident that they will appreciate our world-class product and services.”
The scheduling for the service from Delhi is as follows:
Sector | Flight No. | Days of Operation | Departure | Arrival |
Delhi – HKG | UK 0101 | Daily | 21:05 Hrs | 05:55 Hrs |
HKG – Delhi | UK 0102 | Daily | 08:55 Hrs | 13:10 Hrs |
Overall, this is strong news for Vistara as they continue to seek a further presence on the international stage, competing against the likes of IndiGo amongst others.
Looking ahead, all eyes will be on the popularity of this route between from Delhi, as well as to see whether there is any scope to expand the frequencies further going into the future, especially if the A321neo provides significant success on that route.
