March 31 saw TAP Air Portugal celebrate four years of Dublin flights as the relationship between the airline and airport continues.
The first service into the Irish capital departed on March 31, 2019, using the airline’s Airbus A319 aircraft.

Commenting on the anniversary was Ricardo Dinis, TAP Air Portugal’s Country Manager for the UK, Ireland, and Nordics:

TAP Air Portugal is slowly reaching pre-pandemic movement numbers, as seen above by flight tracking company RadarBox.

For March 26-April 2, the airline operated 309 movements, based on a seven-day rolling average.
This represents an increase of 10.36% compared to the same period last year but is around 73 movements shy of getting to that all-important 2019 figure.

What we can see from the data is that TAP Air Portugal has experienced strong double-digit growth in flight movement statistics compared to last year, and in some cases, it is only a matter of a few movements to get to 2019 levels.
Overall…
It remains clear that TAP Air Portugal is performing well and is operating beyond expectations based on the current climate.
The anniversary with Dublin further emphasizes the point on the long-term investments the airline is making in order to operate more flights and also to handle more passengers.
As we begin the Summer 2023 season, all eyes are going to be on the carrier to see how they perform and whether any potential successes would spur encouragement in adding more flights for the Summer 2024 season, which airlines will have to think about soon.
But for now, all eyes are on TAP Air Portugal.
