VT-RTQ will be Airbus A320neo #29 for Air India as it departed from Toulouse yesterday. The Indian carrier has a lot of the aircraft type on order following blockbuster orders made earlier this year.
CDB Aviation became one of the first aircraft leasing companies to secure the placement of the aircraft type to the Indian carrier.
Peter Goodman, the lessor’s Chief Marketing Officer had this to say on the first delivery:
“India is a key market for CDB Aviation, being one of the fastest growing aviation regions in the world and the second largest Asian market for new aircraft deliveries, with nearly 1,000 jets on order with Boeing and Airbus”.
“Our commercial team is delighted to have worked closely with Air India to address their fleet requirements with these new Airbus narrowbody aircraft from our order book.”
“We are confident that these aircraft will play a pivotal role in Air India’s multi-stage transformation.”
With lessors taking advantage of good delivery slots, it has enabled the likes of CDB Aviation to sign deal with major carriers such as Air India to facilitate better timetables for new aircraft.
All eyes will be on how all six deliveries go for them.
