Lufthansa Group leisure carrier Eurowings has announced further additions to its network, adding two new European destinations for its summer and winter scheduling.

In recent announcements, Eurowings unveiled plans to introduce two captivating European destinations to its flight roster. This comes alongside a notable milestone: its inaugural flight from Dusseldorf to Tel Aviv.

Inaugural Flight to Tel Aviv

Eurowings marked a significant milestone on 16th March 2024 by inaugurating its maiden flight from Dusseldorf to Tel Aviv.

This inaugural service, priced attractively at 139.99 euros, operates twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering travelers seamless connectivity to the vibrant Israeli city.

The flight, facilitated by an Airbus A320 boasting 180 seats, promises passengers a comfortable journey marked by Eurowings’ trademark hospitality.

Summer Schedule Addition: Sfax, Tunisia Beckons

Adding to its portfolio, Eurowings has incorporated the Tunisian gem, Sfax, into its summer flight schedule for 2024.

Commencing from 8th July, travelers can embark on this Mediterranean adventure every Monday from Cologne/Bonn Airport and every Wednesday from Stuttgart Airport starting 24th July.

Ultra-low cost carrier Eurowings will bolster its operations at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with the introduction of two new direct routes ahead of the summer of 2024.

This expansion marks a further step forward for both Eurowings and the airport.  The new routes will serve Hannover (HAJ) and Naples (NAP) respectively, adding to the carrier’s network from Arlanda.

The addition of new routes to Hannover and Naples strengthens air connectivity between Sweden, Tialy and Germany.

Since they first established their Swedish base in the summer of 2022, Eurowings has added a variety of destinations to their offer making the total number thirteen.

Stockholm to Hannover and Naples

Route Details

The new routes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Hannover (HAJ) and Naples (NAP) are poised to attract a diverse range of travellers. These include business professionals, tourists, and visiting friends and relatives (VFR) passengers.

Both Hannover and Naples are popular destinations known for their cultural heritage, scenic beauty, and economic significance.

Frequency and Schedule

Eurowings will operate the Stockholm Arlanda Airport – Hannover route twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, starting from the 1st of May.

Similarly, the Stockholm Arlanda Airport – Naples route will be serviced twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays, commencing operations on the 14th of June.

Eurowings will deploy its fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft to serve the new routes, ensuring a seamless and comfortable travel experience for passengers.

Ahead of the Winter 2023/24 season approaching, Eurowings has laid it all on the table by outlining new routes across Germany and the rest of Europe.

There are a series of new routes from Germany across bases such as Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg among others, as well as from it’s European subsidiary in Graz, Prague, Salzburg & Stockholm.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

Winter 2023/24: Eurowings Lays It All on The Table…

As per their release, here is what the Winter 2023/24 season will look like for Eurowings in Germany:

• BER: In the winter of 2023/24, the German capital’s airport will host flights to five new destinations: Dubai, the Georgian capital Tbilisi, Rovaniemi in Lapland, Tromsø in Norway, and Innsbruck in Austria. Three of Northern Europe’s city gems – Gothenburg, Helsinki and Copenhagen – as well as the Spanish coastal city of Málaga – are now also accessible from Berlin with Eurowings in winter (extended from the summer flight schedule).
• DUS: From the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Eurowings will be flying to Tel Aviv and the two Finnish cities of Ivalo and Kuusamo in the coming winter. Now also accessible from Düsseldorf in the winter months: Yerevan in Armenia.
• HAM: From Hamburg, there is one new destinations: the Norwegian winter destination of Tromsø.
• HAJ: From Hanover – one of Eurowings’ two new domestic bases in Germany – there are now flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife on the Canary Islands and to Hurghada in Egypt.
• CGN: From now on, Eurowings will also be flying from the cathedral city on the Rhine to Scotland’s historic capital – Edinburgh – during the winter months.
• NUE: From Nuremberg, the second new German base, Eurowings is expanding its winter flight schedule to include connections to Gran Canaria and the Egyptian destinations of Hurghada and Marsa Alam.
• STR: From the capital of Baden-Württemberg, the airline will be traveling to one new sunny destination: Dubai. Now also available in winter with Eurowings from Stuttgart: Bucharest (Romania) and Tirana (Albania).

As for the rest of their European operations, it is a little more brief, but this is what they plan to offer:

• New from Graz: Berlin, Hamburg, Hurghada, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
• New from Prague: Agadir and Geneva.
• New from Salzburg: Amsterdam and Marsa Alam.
• New from Stockholm: Stuttgart and Beirut in Lebanon.

Overall, this is a significant expansion for Eurowings in the upcoming season, with all eyes on them to see how this will go for them.
